This Cookie & Tracking Notice works alongside our Privacy Policy and explains how this website uses cookies, browser storage, and related technologies. “Cookies” here refers broadly to cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage, used to support how the Site functions.
What This Site Currently Uses
We group what this Site uses into two categories: technologies that are necessary for the Site to work, which are always active, and optional analytics, which are used only if you accept them.
Necessary
These are first-party — set by this Site, readable only by this Site, and never used for advertising or shared with anyone for their own purposes.
- Your cookie choice. When you choose “Reject Analytics” or “Accept Analytics,” we store that choice in your browser’s local storage, so we can honour it and so we don’t ask you again on every page. It records only whether you accepted analytics and when you decided — nothing that identifies you. It stays until you clear your browser storage or change your choice.
- How you arrived. We use one small piece of first-party session storage to remember, for the duration of your visit, which page you landed on and, if present, campaign information from a link you clicked. It is cleared automatically when you close your browser tab, and after 30 minutes of inactivity. We use it so our team can tell which inquiries came from which marketing sources. It is not a persistent tracking cookie and does not follow you across separate visits.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics, described under Analytics below. It is switched off until you accept it, and you can change your mind at any time — see Your Choices.
Security and Anti-Abuse Technology
Some of our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security technology that helps distinguish real visitors from automated bots — similar in purpose to a traditional CAPTCHA. When active, this technology may cause your browser to communicate with Cloudflare as part of verifying your submission. We do not control what cookies or similar technology Cloudflare’s Turnstile service itself may set as part of that verification; for details, see Cloudflare’s own privacy and cookie documentation.
Embedded Content
Some pages on this Site include embedded content from third parties:
- Video. Where we embed video, we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (“youtube-nocookie.com”) player, which does not load the video player or begin communicating with YouTube/Google until you actively choose to play the video. Once you do, your browser will communicate with YouTube/Google, and their own privacy practices will apply — using the privacy-enhanced player limits, but does not eliminate, that communication.
- Maps. Some location pages on this Site include an embedded Google Map. Loading a page with an embedded map may cause your browser to communicate with Google as part of displaying the map.
We do not control, and are not responsible for, the cookies or data practices of these third-party providers.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this website so we can improve it. It is optional, and it is off by default. Nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookies are set unless you choose “Accept Analytics” — Google’s measurement script (the Google tag, gtag.js) is not added to the page before you decide, so there is nothing there to collect or send.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (currently named “_ga” and “_ga_<property>”) that help it recognise a returning browser and group activity into visits. What we send to Google Analytics is deliberately limited to general, non-personal information:
- the address and title of the page you are on;
- that a phone number, email address, driving-directions link, or call-to-action link was clicked, and where on the page it was;
- which of our two locations a phone number or directions link belongs to;
- the general category of an inquiry (for example, leasing, sales, or service) and which form it came from;
- that a contact form, Trailer Finder request, or job application was submitted successfully, and general Trailer Finder context such as which version of the tool was used;
- the standard measurements Google Analytics collects itself, such as approximate location by region, device type, browser, and how you arrived at the Site.
We never send Google Analytics your name, email address, phone number, the text of your message, your résumé or application content, or your answer to “How did you hear about us?” — that information stays with Jilco and the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
Google processes this information as our service provider. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every website you visit.
We do not use Google Tag Manager, and no advertising or remarketing signals are enabled: the advertising-related consent settings this Site sends to Google are set to “denied” at all times, including after you accept analytics.
Advertising
This Site does not currently use advertising cookies or tags — for example, for ad retargeting or conversion tracking. If that changes, this Notice will be updated.
Your Choices
On this Site. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether to enable optional analytics cookies. Choosing “Reject Analytics” keeps analytics switched off and leaves only the necessary technologies above in use; choosing “Accept Analytics” turns analytics on. Both choices are offered side by side, and either way we remember your choice so you aren’t asked again on every page.
To change your mind later, select Cookie Settings in the footer of any page. The same banner reopens and your new choice takes effect immediately. If you switch from “Accept Analytics” back to “Reject Analytics,” we stop sending anything to Google Analytics right away and tell Google to stop using analytics storage; the Google Analytics script that was already loaded into the page you are on stays there until you navigate or reload, but it no longer receives anything from us.
Declining analytics does not limit any part of the Site — every page, form, and tool works exactly the same either way.
In your browser. You can also control cookies and similar technologies at the browser level — most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings, and you can use private/incognito browsing. Clearing your browser storage will also clear your saved cookie choice, so the banner will ask again on your next visit. Blocking all cookies and browser storage sitewide (including on other websites) may affect how some sites function.
Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice from time to time as our use of cookies and similar technologies changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
